Welcome Home Keala! Nov 19 2006

Aloha~
Sunday was a busy day for me. I went to a welcome home party & birthday dinner party! Why is it when you are bored and have absolutely NOTHING to do...there is NOTHING TO DO?! Then, when something comes up, hell, you got 10 billions things to do! What is up with that?! LMAO This was one of those weekends for me! A good friend came back for vacation. Cant belive he was gone for over a year! So white he is! hehe No even have da slippahz tan line! ai ai ai! heheh
Had some ono hawaiian food! I was not pose to eat, cuase i was suppose to go dinner! But they really really "twisted my arm" and made me eat! LMAO hahaha lol I couldnt resist! The kalua pig was yummi! Oh and the chicken long rice!! mm mm good! I dont really care for poi, but had that and poke, opihi luau, crab, sweet potato, okinawan potato, ono desserts, like haupia on shortbread like cookie! mm mm good! Oh and the kahlua cake was ONO! I didnt think i could drive after i had a piece@ heheh The ice cream cake was ono as well! I really didnt wanna eat & run, but had to go Hale Koa and meet my other friends for bday! No matter what, i could not eat any more food~ I only had a tropical drink & ice tea! It all turned out good and i had a great day!
I am truely lucky to have such wonderful friends. =)
Maybe i should get to bed now! I am tired, being that it was my first day back to work after 10 days of vacation! hehe
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!
Ciao!

Nov 18th BBQ!

Yum Yum!! Boy, we had soo much food at the BBQ! A few of us got together and had a bbq...hmm lets see, maybe 23 or so of us! Dont know if you can see all the food we had, but let me name a few items we had...Hope you are not hungry! heheh
Meats...Deep fried Turkey, ribeye, tri tip steak, hot sausage, hotdogs, pocho sausage, scallops, shimp, salmon, clams, beef malaysian curry, gyoza, spring rolls...we also had potato salad, ceaser salad, yakisoba, takana musubi, white rice, spam musubi, daikon w/fishcake, grilled vegi's (onion/sweet peppers)...some suuthern food - black eyed peas, collard greens suuuthern fried chicken, corn bread....ono desserts -- choco cake, passion fruit cheesecake, hoho's. I am not sure if that is all that we had, but i cant think of anything else at this time. All i can say....I WAS FUUUULLLLLL!! I tried to eat a tad bit of everything...but i think all the "appetizer" tastes of steak got to me! heheh Eh, the rule is, if you by the grill, and meat is ready....gotta sample! hehehe Oh well, if it should run out before "others" get a taste..if no help, then oh well! LMAO oh is that mean?! But everyone knows the "rules" of bbq~ing~ heheh Oh I cant wait til the next bbq! I just love bbq's, dont you?!

Nov 16 view from airplane

View from Hilo Hawaiian Hotel Nov 15 2006

hey there! Like the view?~
Last week, I went to Hilo, Hawaii (Big Island) for a few days for some R&R. I like to go there to relax! Some think I am crazy to go there, but hey, the people are really nice, and i have a few nice friends there! So..why not, right?! Took a few pictures from the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Had a nice view of the ocean. It was a really nice while i was there. A little voggy, but no rain! First time going to Hilo and it didnt rain! It did rain durin the nite, but i was not outside, so it was all good! If you ever get a change to visit the Big Island, check out Hilo. I prefer Hilo over Kona. Its a little hot in Kona. Some say Kona is much better, cuase there might be a few more things you can do...but lots of tourist there. You be the judge!

PF Chang's

Back in end of Sept, a few friends & I checked out PF Chang's @ Ward. We were very lucky to get seated right away...especially for a party of 12! This is not all the food that we ordered. To tell you the truth, i dont really remember what we ordered! I do know though...the spicy chicken, wrap thingys, mongolian beef, desserts were ONO! We had a really good waiter, unfortunately, i cant remember his name! Basc ially, everyone that had dinner that nite, all agreed the food was good. Then, i went again on another day, for lunch with a few friends...and it was not as good as the dinner! But i guess, all in all, i liked it. Next time i want to try a soup. Oh the lettuce wrap was really good. Oh and the crab wontons. I dont like crab, but i would eat that one! Yeah i know, i am strange like that! LMAO Well, dont take my word for it..you should just try it. I heard they are makin another one in waikiki...Dont know when that one will open up.

I'm on Vacation!

I am on vacation for 10 days! I am really happy, cuase i have been workin my buttucks off! I am going to Hilo, Hawaii (Big Isle) for a few days of R&R. I am hoping to check out this Japanese Style dessert place...called Two Ladies Kitchen. They have really ONO (Delicious) mochi goodies, as you can see.

When i need a vacation to relax, i always go to Hilo. For some reason, its really relaxing for me. People there are really easy going, and very friendly. Slow paced there...but its nice to get away from Oahu. I hope to take a few nice pictures while there. I am not going to the Volcano Park, cause i have been there many times!

Have a great day...and enjoy Life!!
