Shabu Shabu dinner @ Shizu
ALoha!
Tonite i went to eat dinner at Shizu Restaurant located at the Royal Garden Hotel. I have been to this place quite a few times. We always order the "all you can eat shabu shabu". Its quite delicious! Its also healthy, because you eat a lot of vegis, like chinese cabbage, watercrest, green onions, tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and this noodle thingy i always forget what its called, something like, meloni?! I dunno! hahah Anyways, you get meat which is very thinly sliced. This is what my mom told me way back in my younger days...you get the meat, put it in the hot water, and say "shabu shabu, shabu shabu" while moving it back/forth in the water, and it will be cooked & ready to dip in either one of the two sauces (ponzu or sesame). You have to skim off the oils & stuff with this thingy that you dip back into hot water to get rid of the oils. Its really good for the health concious person.
Well, i am very full and need to get to bed soon! have a great thursday!! I will be off 3days again! Yippie! BUT this is the last time for months!
Be safe everyone & take care!
Type to you later!

Hi Sue,
This is the first time to write a comment. Your blog is so nice!
The name of noodle that you forgot might be 'shirataki', I guess. I'm also like Shabu Shabu, Especially 'shirataki'(^^).
Aloha Roa!
